My camera gear has been stolen. And I'm partly to blame. :(
I got lazy. I'd been leaving my camera gear in the trunk of my car. I would always lock and set the alarm. So I felt safe enough. But my mother doesn't lock the cars when she uses them. And she used my car this last Sunday. Monday morning, around 6 AM, thieves drive by and hit the jackpot. They got my Sony a77II, Sony 16-50mm f/2.8 lens, Minolta 50mm f/1.7, 70-210 f/4.5-5.6, my external flash unit, 5 batteries, velbon tripod, and a few SD cards. They also took my Securitas jacket from work, and a small tool belt with pens and a notepad.
Right now, life kind of sucks.
I'm looking at replacing my gear with an upgrade. Since I'm no longer heavily invested in the a mount Sonys, I'm thinking of getting a Sony a7RII and all the bells and whistles. I figure I'll have the pro level gear and can really jump into advertising to get some bookings.
